Wim Mol, PhD, Chief Executive Officer
Wim Mol carries over 20 years of international experience in general management, commercial and R&D positions in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining Pepscan in 2009 he was at Schering Plough, where he was as VP responsible for the both the global scientific development and the commercial strategy of a Phase III project in an alliance with Theramex, a subsidiary of Merck-Serono. Prior to that he held multiple executive roles within the Organon group, as Executive Director Global Marketing for the Women's Health portfolio, general manager of the Organon-Sanofi ~Synthelabo LLC joint venture in the USA, and country manager positions in Chili and the Netherlands. He holds a MSc in Pharmacy and a PhD in Pharmacology, both from the University of Groningen (the Netherlands).

Michiel Lodder, PhD, Chief Business Officer
Michiel Lodder joined Pepscan in April 2011 as CBO. Prior to joining Pepscan he was at OctoPlus where he was responsible for establishing and managing OctoPlus Inc. in Cambridge, MA, USA. He has over 10 year experience in business development in the pharma and biotech area. Throughout his career in corporate business development, he contributed or delivered numerous strategic partnerships and license deals encompassing technology platform and product deals. He holds a M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands and a Ph.D. in Bio-Organic Chemistry from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.

Peter Timmerman, PhD, Chief Technology Officer
Peter Timmerman is inventor of the CLIPS technology and as CTO drives further advances in protein mimicking for therapeutic antibodies and peptides at Pepscan. Peter also holds a chair as Professor in Protein Mimetic Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).  He studied Chemistry at the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam), and obtained his PhD summa cum laude from the University of Twente.  In 1995, he was recipient of the Backer prize for the best thesis in Organic Chemistry. He did post-doctoral research at the ETH in Zürich and was Assistant Professor in Supramolecular Chemistry and Technology at the University of Twente. He is co-author of over 80 scientific articles.

Klaus Schwamborn, PhD, Chief Development Officer
As CDO, Klaus Schwamborn oversees the entire biology required for the pre-clinical development of therapeutic antibodies and peptides. Before joining Pepscan in 2007, Klaus was with Celgene, San Diego USA, in target discovery and developed assays for small molecules in the field of cancer and inflammation.  He holds a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Göttingen, Germany and completed postdoctoral studies at the Institute Pasteur in Paris, France where he mainly focused on cell signaling and post-translational protein modification. He published in high-impact journals and has in total over 15 years of hands-on experience in molecular and cellular biology.

Henk van der Meer, Chief Financial officer
Henk van der Meer joined Pepscan in September 2008 as CFO. He has 30 years experience in finance.  He studied Business Economics at Windesheim, the Netherlands and was further educated in Information Management. Prior to joining Pepscan he held various positions of increasing responsibility at Rijkswaterstaat and Wageningen University. In his last position at Wageningen University he was involved in the incorporation, management and financing of university spin-out companies.  Over time, he has acquired a wealth of experience in F&C, company valuations and corporate strategy.
