Pipeline
Pepscan is currently developing several proprietary monoclonal antibodies against a number of disease-relevant G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs). The pre-clinical development pipeline currently consists of 3 antibody projects, aiming at targets in the oncology and immunology area. Synthetic immunogens mimicking the ligand binding sites have successfully been used to induce antibodies that bind to the native GPCR receptor and behave as functional antagonist. Pepscan aims to demonstrate the in vivo functionality of these antibodies in the course of 2012.
For the therapeutic peptides Pepscan is building a proprietary pipeline, partly through risk sharing co-discovery collaborations with pharma partners, in which Pepscan becomes part owner of the IP for the resulting collaboration compounds. Lead peptides have been discovered, which are currently being optimized. Next to that Pepscan has selected certain targets that are ideally suited for a peptide drug approach. Lead discovery for these targets is ongoing.

Next to Pepscan's own pipeline, development projects on various undisclosed targets are ongoing in research partnerships with large pharma and specific antibody companies
