Fast, panoramic snapshots of the activity of 100’s of kinases in cells and tissues

PurifiedProtein kinases exert their functions in complex networks comprised of interconnected signal transduction pathways. Abnormalities in these pathways are implicated in the etiology of numerous diseases. PepChip Kinase peptide microarrays provide you information about hundreds of kinase activities in cells or tissues.

Samples are assayed on over 1,000 different substrates in triplicate. The isotopic detection used is highly sensitive and is not hampered by substrate bias. These profiling products open up a range of new applications in drug development and signal transduction research by improving reducing development time, profiling enzyme specificity and providing new information on enzyme and enzyme-inhibitor specificity.

Purified protein kinases

PepChip profiling is highly suited to characterize individual protein kinases. This allows interrogation of over 1,000 different substrates in a single experiment in order to obtain insight in the substrate preference of novel kinases.
For known and novel kinases, a substrate profile is a good starting point to select optimal substrates for assay development, taking into account sensitivity as well as selectivity. Thus, PepChip Kinase is ideally suited for:

Kinase profiling in cells and tissues

PepChip profiling is an excellent tool for comparing kinase networks in diseased versus healthy tissues, stimulated versus control and many more. PepChip profiling is compatible with a multitude of cell and tissue samples, including cultured cells, fresh white blood cells, liver, kidney, biopsies, resection tissue and so on. Comparative kinase profiling can be applied for:
