COVID-19 Services – Peptide libraries – A powerful tool for vaccine lead finding
Benefit from an unprecedented choice of library sizes and rapid delivery times
Peptide libraries are widely applied as a powerful tool in biological research. Peptide libraries provide a rapid and cost-effective solution for a broad range of bioactivity-screening purposes, like identification of critical bioactive peptides which could serve, for example, as lead for a new COVID-19-related vaccine.
Pepscan is the founder of peptide library technology and has over 25 years of experience in designing, synthesizing, and utilizing custom peptide libraries. We offer custom peptide libraries in all sizes and formats, ranging from smaller sets of purified peptides to large (crude) libraries of 1,000’s of different species. Peptide lengths usually range from 5 to 25 amino acids, which is sufficient for most applications. However, as the inventor of the peptide library concept, Pepscan also supplies peptide libraries of peptide with a length of over 30 amino acids in length. Pepscan can also incorporate a large variety of non-natural building blocks, introduce conformational constraints or perform post-translational modifications.
Rapid delivery times
Typically, synthesis starts within days of order placement, with standard delivery times of around 2-4 weeks, depending on library size and peptide length. Custom peptide libraries are delivered as freeze-dried peptides in either 96-well plates for high-throughput screening or in individual (racked) microtubes.
